In the mid-1950s, Chevy introduced its new V-8 overhead valve engine, commonly referred to as the "small-block" Chevy. These cars, fitted in the '55 - '57 years, became known as the "Tri-Chevys". The 1957 is the most popular of them all. The Bel Air version was the top model with additional features and panels that set it apart. The rear tail units were a styling trend that celebrated the jet age - 2 types of decals, stickers and decals - Metal axles - Injected in 2 colors - Injection molds in red, black and clear with chrome-plated parts
